As of July 2, 2000 a bridge joins Denmark and Sweden over the Sound. The bridge is open to motorists and is also crossed by a frequent high-speed train running from Copenhagen Railway Station (Kobenhavn H) via Copenhagen Airport (CPH / Kastrup) to Malmö Central Railway Station (and further to Lund Central Railway Station).

By air - Copenhagen Airport CPH / Kastrup - Malmö - (Lund).
There are a number of companies flying to Copenhagen for a reasonable price. This is a list of some of them:
easyJet, http://www.easyjet.com/en/book/index.asp
Maersk Air, http://www.maersk-air.com/en
Sterling, http://www.sterlingticket.com/en/forside_en
Copenhagen Airport, CPH,/Kastrup, Denmark, is the closest large international airport, from where Malmö, Sweden, can be most conveniently reached by high-speed and frequent Öresundstågen. The trip from Copenhagen Airport to Malmö Central Station by train will take approximately 30 minutes. There are two stops after the Airport. First you will go through a tunnel then over the bridge. The first stop after the bridge is Malmö Syd (Malmö south). Do not get off here! The next stop is Malmö Central (Malmö Central Station). Tickets can be purchased all the way through to Lund, but a change of trains in Malmö is sometimes necessary. At Copenhagen Airport you may pay for the train ticket to Lund by credit card or in Euro. For more information about the trains, please contact on tel. +46 (0)771-77 77 77 or visit Skånetrafiken.
By air local airport Malmö MMX/Sturup - Lund .
The local airport Malmö - MMX/Sturup, has frequent connections to and from Stockholm and London, but only a few other regular international flights, among them Ryanair, http://www.ryanair.com/ . There is a bus service from Sturup to Lund - flygbussarna. Busses depart about ten minutes after the arrival of planes from Stockholm (almost every hour). The bus stops in central Lund (at Mejeriet, Lundagård and the main railway station). There is also a limousine service (desk at the airport check-in area) from Sturup, which will take you directly to your address in Lund. The Swedish taxi-market is free and though most companies have recommended prices for defined routes (such as about 400 SEK or 45 EURO Sturup - Lund), drivers have sadly been known to charge foreign visitors unreasonable fees. Taxis in Sweden can be pre-ordered or found at Taxi stops often found just outside stations, harbours etc., hailing them in the street sometimes works but it is not the normal routine. Taxis normally accept all major credit cards.
Travel from Malmö to Lund may be taken by taxi or local (purple) trains Pågatåg - approx. 15 minutes. The local trains depart approximately 4 times per hour during weekdays, somewhat less frequently in the evening and during weekends. You can find the timetables at Skånetrafiken or call at +46 (0)771 777 777 to ask for times, prices and more. Taxis in Sweden can be pre-ordered or found at Taxi stops often just outsider stations, harbours etc., hailing them in the street sometimes works but it is not the normal routine. The Swedish taxi-market has recently been made free-allowing drivers to set their own fees, which, unhappily, sometimes results in visitors from abroad paying outrageous prices. Settle a price with the driver before accepting his/her services, normally drivers are employed by a taxi company, which has established recommended prices for certain routes (such as about 300 SEK or 33 EURO Malmö - Lund). Taxis normally accept all major credit cards.
